I fall at your feet

I could talk about how I made rubbish pasta (and now I know for a fact the rest of the day is destined to be the key of evility - new word for evilness that I made up, won't reveal why (because evilness is lame, duh) - hmph) and I could say that I learned to fish tail braid and that I finished watching Freaks and Geeks and that I keep getting way too excited about music festivals for someone who is saving up for a Chanel bag (BREATH), but I think high neck lines are probably more interesting?

OH. Classic ProScho (Proenza Schouler). Fall is never as bright as spring (Obviously. PS Did you get my pun in the title? I guess in another life I was a dad. Or a loser. BCOZ IM SO KOOL NOW!!!!!!!2) I love these button up collar necklines, and the deep shades of everything (more specifically green and blue). Aaaaaand the first dress is to die for. I think my insides are giving way as we speak.

Emilio Pucci, i.e. the wardrobe I should have. Emilio Pucci always reminds me of Balmain, except for when Balmain adds tackiness, Pucci adds class. Anyway, to resume yelling, ARE YOU SEEING THE FUR COAT. First time I saw it, I passed out. Straight up. No I'm kidding, but also THE SECOND JACKET. It reminds me of the Proenza one but I could nottt say which one I prefer... AND IN ADDITION, NATASHA POLY (i.e. the body I should have) looking amazing (second last dress).

I will now attempt to resuscitate myself.

Breaaaaaaaaaatheeeeeeeeeeeee

Owing to the fact that my chronic asthma (it's not that bad but I can't remember what the opposite of chronic is sooo....) has cleared up I decided it would now be medically okay for me to look at fashion lines again. Incase I hyperventalite. Which pretty much always happens.

Also, crying.

I just really like Miu Miu. Naturally, it can't beat the Spring line (which was RYDIKULOWS) but ma hart still gose owt 2 ma gurl Miucci Prada! (Can I get a TESTIFY!) Anyway.
Firstly, LAVENDER AND ORANGE. I am still so confused. I have honestly honestly no idea how Miu Miu managed to pull that off, especially considering most bright and pastels together make me feel queasy. But I really really liked it.

And I liked the crimped edges and the diagonal (I want to say oblique but I think words like that threaten people's vocabulary-esteem) pockets and the rediscovery of the turtle neck (which are charming) and the high ponytails. AND I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT THE SHOES OKAY. But I still like them.

PS FLOWER DETAIL.

Ninety-nine percent of the time, John Galliano pulls out all this crazy shit and I get super distracted by the runway walks and the hair and the make up (ohhhhhthemakeup) and then when I see the dresses on editorials and stuff it looks completely different. But editorials always make the clothes look different... But I do love it.

I have this theory that Galliano tries to do his own editorial, you know those editorials that are set on runways (you get the idea, PS mmmm Meisel)? Sooooooo the lighting and backgrounds and the styling make it kind of like that. And it's soooo much more than a winter in New York, it's like a full on (glitter) blizzard and trekking through brutal mountain ranges in your Mongolian lamb fur hat. But then, of course it is. Because it's John Galliano. And monobrows.

Ann Demeleumeester. Where does one even purchase such liquid looking material? I always like how her lines look like water walking down the runway. And they are so dark and eerie and like two steps before Tim Burton mixed with that rich-ladies-from-the-1920s-class-and-taste-in-fur.

AND everything she does is like a twist on classic designs. And that fur coat is killing me because it's amazing and far far too expensive for me and probably real fur so I wouldn't wear it WHYISLIFELIKETHIS.

I should probably go watch The Office and stop yearning for these things.

Sha Nell.

Oh look, my blog is still here! Despite the fact that I have gone like a week? two weeks? without divulging my inner wisdom on the internet community. Eeeeeeeep.

WHATEVS DNTJUDGE COS I'M HEAPS SYK.

Except I actually am. I had to go off this medication and now I'm in withdrawal (OMGURSOLOOSEURSOLOOSE). But don't be freakin. But I am freakin' because my head keeps going round and round, so for like two days I've had that song in my head 'You spin me round right round right round' as well as 'I'm spinnin around, move out of my way'. Yeah. So. Now who's feeling guilty.

ANYWAY.

Every time Chanel produces a fashion line I have this seasonal freak out. I like to refer to it as my 'seasonal freak out' (hahawot). And this year, I really truly deeply madly thought my fears were confirmed. I mean, when I saw these pants I was a nervous wreck (I think it's because Karl is like my best best best best friend ever and I just do nottt want to see him fail. Yaknow!)

But there was this sweet sweet retribution.

Frankly I just couldn't get into these shoes. And I feel really bad about it.

AND THEN KARL WAS LIKE "I'M KINDA BORED, MAYBE I'LL TRY OUT THE OVERSIZED SWEATER?" AND THEN HE NAILS IT. JUST CASUALLY. COMPLETELY OWNING IT.

ARE YOU SEEING THIS DETAIL? I DON'T THINK YOU ARE OR YOU WOULD BE SCREAMING/CRYING.

OH MY GOD. These two coats are so dsj;lfkadsldfjkfad. Like that's it. You just cannot even describe it. Can you imagine feeling this? CAN YOU IMAGINE IT. I am trying really really hard not to talk in capitals now. AND AM FAILING.

"Hmm maybe I'll just try some equestrian style?" NAILS IT. How would you feel John?
KIDDING. YOU'RE SO GREAT. I LOVED THE DIOR SPRING COUTURE. PLEASE CAN WE STILL BE  FRIENDS? I am so ashamed. But I'm not going to delete it.

This one is my favourite. Are you kidding me with this detail? That is an actual row of flowers. With rufflage (yeah it's a technical term..) And tassleding (another technical term, please keep up). I kind of can't keep staring at it. And of course Anja is wearing it like no-big-deal. But you know what Anja. Big deal. REALLY REALLY BIG DEAL.

Oh look I'm Karl Lagerfeld and I've NEVER done a high neck that wasn't AMAZING. (Marrry meeeeee) But seriously I'm actually starting to weep.

This is a different dress, but I wanted to show a close up of the magnificence that is Lagerfeld.

I honestly think Karl has outdone himself. I cannot get over the massively oversized jackets and jumpers and that detail; the equestrian piece and the overcoats are so straight forward and it's all about shape and profile and then you get to the dresses and tops and it's like this intricate weave and all these different directions and all the diffferent elements of sewing! (ruffles, tassles, tweed, fur) And the accessories!

I just want to own every piece of this collection and lie in it and then lock it in a huge glass box where I can keep it eternal forever. (This is actually one of the least creepy things I've said, because who doesn't want that?  MAYBE ANJA.)

Anyway I think I need to stop blogging about this and go to sleep so I can dream about it.
BAIIIIII.
